Woody Wild Petunia is an erect, hairy herb, scarcely woody with many long slender tuberous roots. Stems are 10-30 cm or rarely more. Leaves are broadly elliptic or oblong, 3.7-12.5 cm long, round, blunt or somewhat pointed, hairy; leaf-stalk 3-12.5 mm long. Flowers are usually large, solitary, in leaf-axils; 4.5-6.6 cm long, and 2.5-3.2 cm in diameter. Flower are pale-purple, blue or white, tube 1.8-2.5 cm, petals 0.7-1 cm diameter. Sepals are 5. Bracteoles are leaf-like, nearly stalkless, 1.5-2 cm long, blunt. Woody Wild Petunia is found in India and Bangladesh.
