Tree Cotoneaster is an erect deciduous shrub to a
small tree, up to 10 m tall, with branched clusters of many white
flowers. It has large woolly-haired flower clusters, and scarlet fruit.
Flowers are 6-7 mm in diameter. Sepal-cup is woolly-haired, sepals
pointed. The leaves are oblong to lanceshaped pointed, 3.5-8 x 1.5-3
cm, veins raised below and slightly impressed above, narrowed to the
base, woolly-haired beneath when young, becoming hairless. Tree
Cotoneaster is found in the Himalayas to Tibet.
