Tibetan Hedinia is a perennial prostrate herb, 5-30 cm
long, branched mostly from the base, hoary woolly. Leaves are pinnately
divided, 5-10-jugate, 1-5 cm long, 0.3-1.5 cm broad, basal ones shortly
stalked, upper stalkless or nearly so; lobes many, up to 8 mm long,
1-2 mm broad; all leaves hoary-woolly. Flowers are borne in racemes
which are 10-30-flowered, lax, bracteate, up to 10 cm long in fruit.
Flowers are about 3 mm across, white, nearly stalkless; flower-stalks
up to 3 mm long in fruit. Sepals are about 2 mm long, 1 mm broad.
Petals are 3-4 mm long, 1-1.5 mm broad. Stamens are about 2: 2.3 mm
long. Seedpods are oblong, laterally flattened, 6-10 mm long, 3-3.5 mm
broad, slightly hairy or hairless. Tibetan Hedinia is found in Central
Asia to Himalaya and W. & Central China, at altitudes of 3700-5200 m.
