Mazae Begonia is a perennial herb that has an aerial,
thin, creeping rhizome, and can reach 30 cm in height. Its leaves are
asymmetrical, 5-10 cm long and light green with dark spots along its
vein. If grown in dim light it can turn completely black. It presents a
slight hairiness on the edges of its leaves and on the stems. Its
flowers are small and pink, in dense branched clusters longer than the
leaves. It can be grown indoors, in terrariums and outdoors. Mazae
Begonia is native to Mexico, now cultivated worldwide.
