Botanical name: Erysimum melicentae    Family: Brassicaceae (Mustard family)

Himalayan Wallflower is a leafy biennial or perennial, which grows up to 30-80 cm high. Linear pointed leaves are with or without a few teeth. Bright orange-yellow flowers, 1-1.5 cm across, occur in many flowered clusters at the end of branches. Sepals 7-9 mm long. Petals 12-18 mm long, 6-9 mm broad. Fruit is narrow 4-angled. Himalayan Wallflower is found at altitudes 1800-3000 m. Flowering: May-August.
