Botanical name: Dendrobium infundibulum     Family: Orchidaceae (Orchid family)

Funnel Lip Dendrobium is a Southeast Asian, medium to large sized species found on deciduous trees at altitudes of 200-2300 m. The plant has erect, cylindrical, up to 10 leafed stem with sheaths covered with black hairs and narrowly ovate or linear-lanceolate leaves, all along the new stem. leaves are dark green, obscurely bilobed at the tip. White flowers bloom in short, 2 flowered racemes that arise from the nodes near the tip of the older leafless canes. Flowers can be up to 10 cm across, and have a funnel-shaped lip with orange-yellow inside. May be occasionally confused with Handsome Flowered Dendrobium.
