Dotted Bulb-Leaf Orchid is a small sized, tree-dwelling orchid with a stout woody rhizome with 3-4.5 cm between each ovoid to spherical, rugose pseudobulb and carrying a single, apical, oblong-elliptic, flat to notched leaf which is strongly keeled below, long stalked. The plant blooms in the fall on stout, pendent, hairless, 17-28 cm long, laxly many flowered inflorescence with several, overlapping below, lanceshaped, pointed, wide open sheaths and ovate-lanceshaped, pointed floral bracts. Flowers are green sprinkled with red ; bracts 1.2 cm; flowers 2.5 cm in diameter, lip dark green. Dorsal sepal is ovate, lateral ovate-lanceshaped pointed, petals nearly as long as the dorsal sepal ovate-oblong fringed with hairs, ears of the lip deeply toothed, column flat. Dotted Bulb-Leaf Orchid is found in Eastern Himalayas, Myanmar and Thailand at altitudes of 1300-2200 m.
