Deccan Seddera is a very branched, rigid, harsh, small
shrub, with a few scattered bristly hairs. Leaves are 6-12 mm, oblong
or elliptic, nearly hairless. Flowers are white, about 6 mm, carried on
3-4 mm long stalks. Sepals are 3 mm long, oblong, nearly hairless,
almost erect in flower and fruit. Fruit is almost spherical, shortly
pointed, hairless, tipped with tuft of hairs, 4-celled. Deccan Seddera
is endemic to Peninsular India.
