Deccan Marsdenia is a climbing hairless shrub, with
stem striped, latex watery. Flowers are brownish-pink, 1 x 1.2 cm, in
10-15 flowered umbellate racemes. Flowers are urn-shaped with reflexed
petals. Sepal-cup ovate, pointed, fringed with hairs along the
margins. Leaves are opposite, 10-19 x 7-10 cm, oblong, tapering, base
rounded or pointed, membranous, hairless and glossy; lateral nerves 7-9
pairs, reticulations prominent beneath; leaf-stalk 1-3 cm long. Deccan
Marsdenia is found in Peninsular India.
