Black-Spotted Bulb-Leaf Orchid is a mini-miniature sized,
tree-dwelling orchid with rhizome usually rather long, creeping. Leaf
blade is usually leathery, varying in size. Flowering stem arising
laterally from base of a pseudobulb or from a node of rhizome, floral
bracts often small. Flowers are about 4 cm across, yellowish, heavily
spotted with dark red. Sepals are nearly equal in size or lateral
sepals much longer than dorsal one. Petals are free, usually smaller
than sepals; lip often hinged to end of column foot. Column is short,
winged, base with a distinct foot. Black-Spotted Bulb-Leaf Orchid is found
only in East Himalaya.
