Arunachal Embelia is newly discovered species of Embelia, described
only recently, in 2009. It is a climber with small oblong leaves which are
closely spaced on the branches, giving the impression of being leaflets of
a compound leaf. Tiny which flowers are borne hanging under the leaves in
the axils. Branches are hairy and so are the midribs of the leaves on the
underside. Arunachal Embelia is believed to be endemic to Arunachal
Pradesh. Flowering: December.
