Thickleaf Sweet-Box is a climbing shrub with leaves
alternate, 8-12 x 3-5 cm, elliptic or elliptic-oblong, tip tapering
with a tail, base pointed, leathery, lateral nerves many, joining
intramarginally, slender. Flowers are borne in racemes up to 1.5 cm
long; bract ovate, 1.5 mm long; bracteoles 4. Tepals are 4, unequal
pairs, 1.5 mm long. Thickleaf Sweet-Box is found in Indian Subcontinent
to China and N. Indo-China, including the Himalayas, at altitudes of
600-1600 m.
