Sticky Staurogyne is a sticky-hairy herb with stalked spoon-shaped leaves. Pinkish white flowers are borne in spikes densely covered with sticky-hairy bracts, slightly longer than flowers. Flowers are 6-8 mm long, pinkish white. Four sepals are linear, rather shorter than the bracts, and the fifth one is rather broader, linear somewhat pointed. Sticky Staurogyne is found in E. Himalaya to China (Yunnan), Peninsular India and N. Australia.
