Sticky Staurogyne is a sticky-hairy herb with stalked
spoon-shaped leaves. Pinkish white flowers are borne in spikes densely
covered with sticky-hairy bracts, slightly longer than flowers. Flowers
are 6-8 mm long, pinkish white. Four sepals are linear, rather shorter
than the bracts, and the fifth one is rather broader, linear somewhat
pointed. Sticky Staurogyne is found in E. Himalaya to China (Yunnan),
Peninsular India and N. Australia.
