Sickle-Leaf Oberonia is a mini-miniature to small
sized, tree-dwelling orchi with a flexuose stem enveloped completely by
imbricating leaf-bearing sheaths carrying 5 to 6, linear-sword-shaped,
sickle shaped leaves. The plant blooms in the summer and early fall on
an erect, nearly whorled, round, 4-16 cm long, densely many flowered
inflorescence with lanceshaped, pointed, hyaline, erose floral bracts.
Flowers are 2-4 mm across, stalked. Sickle-Leaf Oberonia is found in
Central Himalaya to China and Indo-China, at altitudes of 1300-3000 m.
