Purple Palas Climber is a large climber with stems
downy. Leaves are trifoliate, leaflets ovate-oblong, abruptly tapering,
rounded at base, hairless, lateral nerves 6 pairs, regular; leaf-stalk
7 cm long. Flowers are borne in panicles 18 x 10 cm, at branch-ends,
rusty downy; flower-stalks 4 mm long, slender. Flowers many, light
pink; sepal-cup 2.5 mm long, sepals blunt; standard 8 x 5 mm, obovate;
wings 6 mm long, slightly velvet-hairy; keel hairless. Pods are 10 x
2.5 cm, oblong, narrowed at both ends, compressed and thin. Purple
Palas Climber is found in Western Ghats and Myanmar.
