Minute Pipewort is a stemless herb without any
rootstock. Leaves are in a rosette, linear, pointed, up to 3.5 x 0.1
cm, hairless. Flower-cluster-stalks are many, up to 7.5 cm long,
hairless. Flower-heads are hemispheric or obconic, about 4 mm across,
straw-coloured. Receptacle cylindrical, hairys. Involucral bracts are
oblong-lanceshaped, pointed, or subtapering, about 2.5 x 0.75 mm,
hairless, straw-coloured. Floral bracts are inverted-lanceshaped,
pointed or tapering, about 1.25 x 0.5 mm, sparsely hoary dorsally
towards tip. Minute Pipewort is found in Western Ghats. Flowering:
September-December.
