Indian Lovegrass is an annual grass growing up to 70
cm tall. The narrow leaves are up to 20 cm long. Both stem and leaves
usually have scattered glandular pits. The ligule is a short fringe of
hairs. Flowers are borne in an open panicle with branches each up to 10
cm long. The lowest branches are whorled about the stem. The narrow,
grayish to purple-green spikelets are up to a cm long and each can
contain up to 10-17 florets. Indian Lovegrass is found in almost whole
of Asia and Africa.
