Indian Fiveminute Grass is a perennials grass
with stems clustered, erect, up to 2 ft high. Leaves are up to 30 cm
long, 0.3-0.4 cm wide. Spikelets are distant, many-flowered, 0.8-1.1 cm
long, lanceshaped. Lower glume asymmetrical, 0.3-0.4 cm long. Upper
glume 0.4-0.5 cm long. Lemma 0.4-0.5 cm long, 2-fid at tip, awned from
the sinus; awn 0.2-0.3 cm long. Palea narrowly winged, ciliolate on the
margins. Indian Fiveminute Grass is native to India and
Bangladesh. Flowering: October-December.
