Botanical name: Actinidia callosa    Family: Actinidiaceae (Kiwifruit family)

Himalayan Kiwi Vine is a large evergreen climber with thick stem, which grows to a height of 9 m. Leaves are elliptic pointed, with fine gland-tipped teeth, long-stalked. Flowers are white, cup-like, 1.5-2.5 cm across, in small lax clusters, much shorter than the leaves. Sepals are 5 ,woolly haired. Petals are 5, rounded, overlapping. Stamens are many. Himalayan Kiwi Vine is found in the Himalayas, from Himachal Pradesh to W China, at altitudes of 1500-3000 m. Flowering: May-July.
