Hill Chlorophytum is a herb with stem very short.
Leaves are 20 x 5 cm, inverted-lanceshaped, pointed to tip, narrowed to
base. Flowers are borne in racemes up to 18 cm long, stout,
densely-flowered. Flower-stalks are 5 mm long; tepals 8 mm long,
elliptic-lanceshaped; ovary obovoid, retuse; style slender; stigma at
branch-ends. Capsule is 10 x 7 mm, obovoid, 3-lobed. Hill
Chlorophytum is found in South India and Sri Lanka.
Flowering: July-October.
