Deccan Chiretta is a shrubby, hairy plant
with short-stalked ovate-round leaves. Branches are 20-15 cm long,
wavt, velvety. Leaves are 0.8-1.6 cm, base rounded or flat, stalk 0-3
mm. Flowers are borne in 5-10 cm long few-flowered racemes, upper
nearly panicled. Sepals are 4-5 mm long. Deccan Chiretta is
endemic to Tirunelveli, Tamilnadu.
Medicinal uses: The plant has ethno-medicinal
value.
