Copper Spoons is so named because of its copper colored spoon shaped
leaves. The underside of the leaves is gray. This is a very a attractive
Kalanchoe especially if it is planted in the ground or in a large pot and
encouraged to branch. The species name orgyalis comes from the
Greek word orgya (a fathom, the distance between the tips of the fingers
with the arms extended), obviously refering to its potential size. It is a
succulent plant growing up to 1 m tall. The stem is covered with
grayish-white wool. Copper Spoons is native to Madagascar.
