Canara Paspalum is an annuals grass with stems 10-30
cm high, trailing; nodes hairy. Leaves are 2-5 x 0.5-1.2 cm, ovate,
pointed, heart-shaped and decurrent at base, densely hairy; sheath
keeled, hairy; ligule a small ridge only. Flowers are borne in 8-15
racemes, axis covered with bulbous based hairs. Spikelets are 1.2 x 1
mm, usually paired at the basal part of the raceme; upper glume 1 x 0.5
mm, elliptic, 3-nerved, hairless. Canara Paspalum is native to India
and Thailand.
