Common name: Bronze Shower Tree
Botanical name: Cassia moschata    Family: Caesalpiniaceae (Gulmohar family)
Synonyms: Cathartocarpus moschatus

Bronze Shower Tree is a dry deciduous or semi-deciduous, medium-sized tree to 20m tall with a spreading crown of compound leaves. Spectacular, long, drooping flower-clusters with up to 70 golden yellow to coppery colored flowers appear when the tree is mostly leafless. Bronze Shower Tree is widely distributed from Mexico and the Caribbean to northern South America and best adapted to tropical climates.
Medicinal uses: The leaves are gathered from the wild for their local use in traditional medicine.
